If you like the idea of freshly-rolled, raw oats for your oatmeal, then the latest hand flaker from KoMo, the FlicFloc, will definitely catch your interest. It represents an entirely different approach in design and engineering to grain flaking. Rather than using standard cylindrical rollers, the FlicFloc utilizes tapered rollers rotating on ball bearings. Turning the crank literally becomes child’s play. Simply secure the flaker to a table with the supplied clamps, fill the hopper, and start turning!
This flaker produces approx. 90g unheated and tasty flakes per minute and is made from solid beech and stainless steel.
The glass receptacle for the output is included.

What a handy little device! I’ve used it for a week now and have no complaints – it flakes dehulled oats perfectly and is very easy to operate. The most I have done at once is three cups for a crumble, it didnt take too long but i’m not sure you’d want to be using a manual flaker like this regularly for large amounts. Perfect to prep 1-2 breakfasts at a time.
